a fault i can see is you need to start the daqmx task before you try and read from it. I would suggest using the DAQ assistants to setup your tasks, they make things much easier, they work in much the same way as a windows wizard prompting you for all the information needed to make the task work. Once that is craeted and working you can ask the labview to generate the code from the assistant then in sub vis you can add a bit more control. but first off get it working with the daq assistats would be a good start.

right click on your diagram, goto express then daq asst. a window  will come up for you to look at. I would do some reserch on the NI website into daq basics and look at the examples that come with labview in the help menu ->find examples
