generating a gate function

Hi!

I have read the postings but not related to mine though appear similar

Moreover, i knew that there is a simulation for step signal. But, i cant use it. The graph is in waveform chart, whereeas I want it to b in waveform graph.

How to generate a tunable output gate function and with control over initial time and final time?

tuneable means controllable time domain.

1) By the Use of the step function.vi

Please help...

What are you attempting to do? Your VI makes no sense. You have knobs ouside the while loop and so the formula VI will constantly act on only the initial values. You then convert that to an array and then only the very last iteration of the while loop (an array with only a single element by the way), is passed to a graph.

You also mention step and a chart. What are you referring to?

lolx... because.. i also dunno what shld i do..  aw... i m stuck... for the chart , u can simply ignore.

Basically, I wan to create a gate function for which i can control.

Possible if uses of the step function.vi... something that i used in my examples.. then about how to create.. I have no idea.

Thanks Dennis for the help earlier!

Thank you!

I would be glad to help if you would just explain exactly what you mean by 'gate function'. What is it that you want to control?

oops.. sorry.. gate function is actually a rectangular pulse-like across time domain. Basically, across the time domain, there is this one rectangular waveform.

1)What i want to control is the time domain, so i can control over "length" of the waveform.

2) I can determine when the rectanglar pulse appears along the waveform

This rectangular waveform will be used so as to multiply with a wanted signal across the specified time frame.

Cannot use filter.

You would use the File menu,  Save for Previous Version.
