Hello,
Some students are trying to steer a valve open every 10 seconds for 3 seconds. The valve is either open or closed. They are using NI9265 to sent the signal to the valve. Is this possible? And in what way can they generate that kind of signal?

Likely possible.
What are the specs on the valve? As long as it can be controlled by 0-20mA, this should be fairly straightforward.
For valves though, I would think a digital out instead of analog would be more appropriate.

The valve I'm using at this moment is an pneumatic control valve 0-20mA. But in the final setup they will be using a magnetic 3-way valve.
