get software serial # from computer

I am running Lab View VS 6 and was wondering if there is a way to get the key off of the computer as we are upgrading and do not want to have to buy a full version of Lab View 10 instead of just the upgrade?

Hi,

What do you want exactly ? The serial number of your LabVIEW distribution ?

To do that you can get it with the NI License Manager.

Start > Programs > National Instruments > License Manager.

LabVIEW 6 did not use the license manager. It does show on the splash screen when starting or Help>About LabVIEW.

Thanks for the responses, I might need the product key, just need what is required for an upgrade so I do not have to purchase a full version.  I think the upgrade is about half price.
