does anyone have a vi that will convert a gif image to another format (i.e. bmp, jpg...). I am using imaq vision to display images, but it doesn't display gif's, so I wanted to convert (unknown to the user) to a different format.
The algorithm to read and write GIFs are protected by a patent owned by Unisys. In other words, in order to use the patented algorithm the license fee has to be paid. That is probably the reason why GIFs were not included in LabVIEW. You can read more about this topic on:
