Your values look OK to be honest.  Can you asnk the supplier if the device even replies to the request, I have heard of devices not supporting this even though it's an official required part of the HID spec.

Tst, he doesn't want to use the system mouse but a second mouse otherwise not shared with the OS.

 

Then he can't use these otherwise very useful functions.

Well you've been making progress but I don't want to see anyone suffer unneccessarily so here's a version of a VI which works for me.  LV 2011.

Thank you for the program, Shane.  It works beautifully for a different mouse, but strangely enough not for the mouse I originally was working with (the one I supplied the datasheet for).  I can work with that.  I would be interested in seeing a more detailed explanation of how you got the numbers you use, as I'm sure those who come later with a question similar to mine would, too.  In the meanwhile, I will try and figure it out on my own and post back should I come to any conclusions. Kudos and a solution for you, my good man.

Well all the numbers I use in the VISA call are in the document I posted a screenshot of earlier.
