Use vi reference, vi properties, pront panel window property, state, there are minimized or hidden.

But anyway, it doesn't have a control to disable the front panel of main vi.. So the user is able to click on main vi even when the sub vi is running.. How to solve this problem? Thanks

use control item's property, there are a disable function, "0" is enable, "1" and "2" are disable.

HI yukee

This will only disable the control / indicator... But want I wanted is to disable the window of main vi when the subvi loads.. In other words, user will not be able to click on the main window (or front panel) until the sub window close.. How can I do that?

Thanks!!

Hi 222,

Smiley Happy as I told you how to disable or enable the control or indicator's item.

As you demand that you can disable all of control where are in the main window as the subVI called, after close the subVI, enable all that controls ? is it not your demand ?

maybe you can use hidden main Vi window to realize ? and you can "invalid" the main vi window.

222 - you could make your sub vi modal (settable in the vi properties). So just the subvi will have focus and no other vis.
Using LV8.0
