highlight execution speed up

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi Visual Programming Champions!

Im working on a School project, I'm doing an Espresso vending machine.

Anyways.... I'm just wondering if there is a way to speed up the highlight execution run?

I just need it to be a bit faster.....

Thanks for your answer.  If I get a satisfying answer, i'll send you a drawing of a seven legged spider.

That request has been popping up regularly since I started coding in LabVIEW.

In fat I'd like a speed control that wolud also let me go back in time to review what I just missed. But sadly that is not possilbe (yet).

The best i can do is suggest you set a break-point after teh boring stuff but before the part you are interested in.

I sure wish I could have given a better reply.

Have fun!

Give the vi a few cups of Expresso, that should speed it up 🙂

Just write your code correctly the first time and you wont have a problem...haha I kid. There's nothing you can do. But as far as your program goes have a look at this

http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/6194

it is a vending machine example and may give you an idea of how to at least set everything up with a state machine. Take it or leave it but I saw your assigned problem, thought of this example, and I just thought if you have troubles with the actual coding that it may help.

Thanks

That was really helpful, now I only need 1000 dlls to buy
the State chart module. I'm currently using the Student Version and it is not
included. (sad)By the way, the spider that jcarmody attached, is not the
original. Mine has missing a different leg. Thanks for your fast answer. This
will help me finish my school project in time (today).

There's a wonderful state machine template that JKI made available here.  They have some good resources there to get you started, and you don't need the statechart module Smiley Wink

You are welcome.

Re: SC Module.

The learning curve for that widget is more than a day so it would not help you anyway.

Re: Spider

That's OK. I prefer Kodus to spiders any day, and on top of that you marked my reply as a solution! Hell, I'd rip the legs off of ten spiders to get one of those.

Thank you!

There is 100's to 1000's of dlls all over the windows system directory.  Perhaps you can exchange them for the State chart module. Smiley Very Happy

hahaha...

I'll then send a zip file with most of my windows/system32/ directory,

and see if NI will send the module back.

Thanks for the laugh.

I'll post my work when i'm done, Im sure you guys could have made it better.
