I think you understand but I want to clarify the language.
You can disable the NI service locator but you can't yet disable LabVIEW trying to connect to it when LabVIEW initializes.

I can't beleive that I made this first complaint to this board on this firewall subjext over 2 years ago.
First NI claimed ("proven veteran's") that there was no problem,
Now, 2 years later, you say it is a problem, but cannot be fixed.....
And you wonder why people leave your platform.....

Tying up loose ends.
This bug was fixed in LabVIEW 2010. Two years ago.
A built executable will no longer clear the service locator when it launches. Instead it will wait until the service locator is used before it clears out stale entries.
