I would like to be able to just config. and start the counter. Then I would like to be able to read the count at anytime. It seems like a waste to reconfig all the time?

Hello,
I know you can do this in LabVIEW, there is a shipping example of how to do so. (Count Events-Easy (9513).vi)
What development environment are you using? What version on NI-DAQ are you using?
