how do i get data from parallel port

hi

how could i read the data from parallel port . i am trying  to read the data of stepper motor (NMB       PM42C-048-C4H6 ) . i had made a hardware to control the stepper motor now i want to see the status of motor direction and angle on labview. i have a problem in geting the input from parallel port. plese help me.
