how to apply Low pass filter to remove the noise from analog dc voltage signal

Dear All

I hope you will find this post in your good health. I want to remove the noise from my signal. My signal is real time analog dc voltage signal. I am using NI DAQ 6024 Card. I set sampling rate 25kS/sec and number of samples I take is 200000. Can you please tell me how can I apply low pass filter to remove noise.

Kind Regards

Muhammad Irfan

Hi Muhammad,

ever looked into the signal functions palette?

That's only one of many possible ways. Even simple averaging may be ok in your case...

Muhammad,

Whenever possible it is better to prevent the noise from getting digitized at all.   Sampling a DC signal at 25 kS/s for 8 seconds seems unusual.  Please explain the source of your signal and the noise or interference.  Perhaps someone can suggest a better way to do what you want.

Dear Sir

Itry to apply butterworth filter but didnot recive any output from it. May be butterworth filter is for digital signals only and my signal is analog dc.

Kind Regards

Hi Muhammad,

nope, Butterworth is expecting DBLs at it's input...
