Hi fethy,

Can you explain in detail where you are having problem with DAQmx.
Which DAQ card are you using?
What is the data which you are trying to acquire?
What do you mean by installing Ni-DAQms? Do u mean that you are having problem installing the hardware or having problems making a VI to acquire the data.
You can find examples shipped with NI to find a VI to do the acquistion part. they are very simple to understand. Go to Help>>Find examples>>Search for DAQmx>> in those examples look for Acq&Graph Voltage-Ext Clk.Vi which is a very basic Vi and will help you to build a Vi for your purpose.

Fethy,

You first mentioned that you were trying to use the DAQmx drivers to get data from you DSP. The DAQmx drivers are for interfacing with NI DAQ cards. So to follow up with Npai’s question, are you using any DAQ hardware that would require the DAQmx drivers. If so what hardware, and how do you intend to use it. Or are you trying to directly interface your DSP card with LabVIEW. If that is the case then DAQmx and Instrument IO assistant wouldn’t do that for you. The Instrument IO assistant is for communicating with message based instruments (e.g. benchtop O-scopees, and DMMs, etc.).

It sounds that you want to directly communicate between LabVIEW and your DSP board, and that this is doable with the LabVIEW DSP module, but you don’t have this software so you are looking for other ways of accomplishing this. I can tell you that just DAQmx drivers, or the Instruement IO assistant are not going to be feasible methods for doing this.

Hi Fethy,

For LabVIEW to work with the TI C6711 DSP Starter Kit, you need the LabVIEW DSP Module. The other software you mentioned (DAQmx, Instrument I/O Assistant) is not for use with this hardware.
