how to digitize photodector signal (one point) and asemble to form a frame picture in labview?

I have a frame grabber (data translation DT3152) and a photodetector from Thorlab to build a laser scanning confocal microscope. This is my first time to work on the image grab. Can any body give me any instruction for my start.  Bascially, photodetector detects light signal from a sample point. first, I need to digintize this signal to stored in PC and then asemble all the signals from different sample points together to form a frame image. I want to use labview to do this job. Can anybody provides any instructions or give me any references? thank you in advance.

Hi,

I’m going to rephrase your problem to make sure I understood it.  You have a photo detector that will output some digital signal and you need to digitize it with the DT3152 or a National Instruments frame grabber.

For that building the frame you are going to use the DT3152 and you want to be able to control this card from LabVIEW, I’m I correct? If this is the case you need to take a look at this forum: I am looking for IMAQ DT3152 Drivers since the DT3152 is a third party frame grabber National Instruments will not have the drivers for this board. Or you are planning on replacing the DT3152 with one of our frame grabbers; in that case I will suggest taking a look at this web site: NI Vision Hardware and in case you are interested there is a forum specifically for NI IMAQ products where you can post any question you have.

I hope it helps
