Could you please give some information on the PDA itself?  What kind of PDA is it and what OS are you running?

Thanks for the reply.  When you say you can't detect the card on your PDA or laptop are you getting an error of some kind or are you looking for it in the DAQmx base configuration utility?  Have you installed or reinstalled the DAQmx base drivers onto the PDA itself?  It is also important to launch the DAQmx base configuration utility from the PDA project in LabVIEW and not from the start menu.  Have you tried running any of the shipping examples to see if the card is working?

What's up G?

You shouldn't need LabVIEW Runtime Version 6 when running a PDA Application.  If you need to download the version that works with NI-DAQmx 2.0.1 then you will need this version:

LabVIEW Run-time Engine Version 8.0 for Windows 2000/XP

However, this version should already have been installed when you installed LabVIEW 8.0 on your development machine.

If you keep running into problems, let us know which errors you are getting and when those errors occur.  When you develop, start very simple, then run an example, then try modifying the examples as you need to make it work for you.

Hi there

After installing the NI-DAQmx and updating the VISA without installing the real time soft wave for the CF-6004, I encounter this problem where there is a missing file in both Pocket PC and Laptop. the file is ‘\windows\nirlpdrvs.dll". Does anyone know where to dowload or resolve this problem? It will be a great help. Thanks

Hi Gabriel,

Are you getting a error message saying that you are missing that dll?  When do you get that error, is it when you are deploying the VI onto the PPC?

It sounds like a bad installation, I would suggest reinstalling DAQmx Base to your PDA.  You can directly install DAQmx Base to your PPC without using Active Sync. First remove NI-DAQmx Base using the built-in Remove Programs functionality on the PDA and then, copying the daqmxb.sa.CAB from:C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-DAQmx Base\Pocket PC\daqmxb.sa.CAB from your host PC to the same location on the PDA and run it.

Post again if that still doesn't solve the problem.
