I have Allen-Bradley PLCs and purchased the Datalogging and Supervisory Control Toolkit.  It works great and lets me see every networked PLC in the facility!

Hello,

To use LabVIEW to interface with your S7-200 PLC from Siemens, you can use the Datalogging and Supervisory Control module (DSC) provided that you have an OPC server that can communicate with your PLC. Unfortunately, the Industrial Automation OPC server does not currently provide driver for your PLC. However, there are many third-party ones such as Kepware, Matrikon OPC that you can use. DSC can easily communicate with any of these OPC servers to bring your data into LabVIEW.

I hope this helps and please feel free to post if you require more clarifications.

Best Regards,

Rudi N.

Sorry, but I don't know what your actual question is. You've posted to an old thread and I'm not sure it is related to your post.

Hi LabviewScadaSystem,

As Dennis menioned, you have posted on an old thread that is a few years old.  You are unlikely to get any relevant reponses to your question because of this.  Your best bet is to create a new post, and clearly describe your question along with any important information that would help with an answer.

The page you linked brings us to a page that seems to depict a LabVIEW Plug-and-Play driver for the S7-200 PLC.  This is an API in LabVIEW that was written by either Siemens or the ABB Furnace Co.  I would contact one of them to see if they can give you any insight into how it can be used with your system.

Cheers,
