how to open a 8.5 file in 8.2?

i got a 8.5 file but my home just have 8.2 labview...

how can i open the file for free?

may anyone can help me to convert to 8.2or 7.1?

You can't. Post the VI and ask if someone can convert it for you.

You cannot open up a 8.5 VI in 8.2.  Open it up in 8.5 and save it in 8.2 format. Or you can ask some one on this forum to convert it. Sadly i and every one in my office use 8.2 and i encounter similar problems otherwise i wouldve done that for you.

By the way do modify this VI a lot by adding names and changing colours. Ur teacher will be a proud man when he finds an assignment VI, made, converted and distributed from the NI forum. This calculator VI has been roaming all over the forum for all sort of help since yesterday. and too many of your class mates have this VI.
