Most carriers have some sort of pseudo-email account setup that allow you to email text messages directly to a phone. Why not take this approach? Email in LabVIEW is easy. For example, 5554441212@vtext.com will deliver the subject/body of the email to a verizon handset. Character limitations do apply.
::edit:: I guess I'm unclear on the requirements: do you *have* to do it via bluetooth? I don't see the point considering the range restrictions. SMS modem or email make the most sense. ::edit::03-25-2008 03:22 AM
hello my friend,
I don't have to use the bluetooth, I hust need the shorter and the easier way to do it, if sending an sms via email is simple could you just show me how to do it??

Hi reemon,
There is a great KnowledgeBase article that discusses SMS messages and LabVIEW. You will need the SMTP E-Mail VI’s, which ship with the LabVIEW Enterprise Connectivity Toolkit and are capable of sending email through a local mail server. The SMTP protocol uses TCP/IP protocol on port 25 to send messages to any email address. There are some really great links at the bottom of the article as well that have good information as well. I hope this helps get you started!
