How are you acquiring the waveform? With a chart, you set the offset to the start time and multiplier to the dt. The chart x axis would need to be set to absolute time. The history needs to be long enough for the number of samples you would acquire in a six hour period.

A chart does not acquire data. It displays it. What you should have answered with is the hardware you are using and the software that is controlling the hardware. Attach an image, since I am posting from my phone. Be sure to show how you changed the offset and multiplier.

If you are trying to manipulate the waveform data itself, look in to the Get Waveform Subset VI.

If you are trying to alter the chart to show a specific section of the data, look in to the Chart's properties using a property node. Specific properties you want are XScale and YScale values.

And like Dennis said, please provide what you've been trying to do. This makes it easier to help.

Cheers

the system is in my school not here with me. sorry the chart is used to display the generated data from the real time monitoring system.. the only problem i have is making the monitoring to start from like 11 to 4pm. sorry for the inconviencies...i need to understand the offset and multiplier stuff. right now am using a random number connected a waveform chart to practice here till i get back to school tomoro. am still battling with the time setting
