how to synchronise with two monitors

Hi,

Do you know how to do that on LabView 7 Express? Or at least with one projector. I've been trying to first display it on my screen, but later on I'll need this functionality. Or maybe just using the projector but being able to synchronize it.

Thanks in advance!

Carlos

Can you please explain "synchronize two monitors"? What do you need to display? What do you want to synchronize?

You can be able to display the front panel on an extended monitor. If you have an extended monitor(your projector), you can use the VI Property node called Monitor and give value as 1 or 2.

Thanks for your reply. In LabView 7 I didn't find that option, so I'll use exactly what you told me, but windows driven, so I'll just send the front panel to the 2nd monitor manually :).

Do you know how can I display images in the front panel? I have images as png files so to get them I use the vi called "Read PNG File", but idk how to use the image data to display it on the front panel, hopefully alone (only the image, centered in a black background if it doesn't fit and/or it's smaller). Maybe another application can be called from LabView to display the image if there isn't a direct option.

I noticed that there's a sink that allows me to display the image in the front panel. I copied it from the "Using supplied probes (Picture + Analysis)" example. Anyway I think it would be better to use another application (windows image viewer or something) that way I'll be able to control everything from the 1st monitor.

Hello Carlos,

Did you know how to connect projector to labview?

I have searched for different vis using windraw etc.. but it comes as a pop up screen on my laptop and not on the projector screen. I also went through the different posts, but I am still not getting anywhere. I would be grateful if you could please help me with the same.

Thanks,

Kruti

PS- I am using infocus DLP X6 and labview 2011.
