how to unbundle p.m and a.m from Seconds To Date/Time Function

Solved!
Go to solution

I wondered if it was because you used a control and I used Get Date/Time in Seconds, but even using a Control (set to "Now"), I see the 06 PM result that I'd expect.

Changing the display format (System -> 18:..., Custom + AM/PM -> 6...) made no difference to the formatted string (fortunately - that would be strange I think...).

I used the get date/time first, i changed it to a constant for the screenshot. 🙂

Both PCs are running Windows 10 with a 24H system clock.

Here's my current result with a few format specifiers. As you mentioned, the %H seems to block the %p, but I don't really know why you'd want them both (as shown in the second string here):

Interesting.

I get this with 24h:

Same here! I'm using Dutch (Netherlands) locale setting.

Go figure. So, is this covered by the bug Yamaeda already mentioned, or are we reporting another one?

For reference, my timezone/locale is UTC+9 (Osaka, Sapporo, Tokyo) and set automatically via time.windows.com. My "country or region" is Japan and the "Regional Format" is English, UK.

That's probably why it works, despite you having changed the clock to 24h.

Hi All,

in my opinion the key point is to be sure that on Region  Additional Settings symbols for AM and PM are defined.

All the Best
