i2c interface driver needed

I understand we can bit bang a parallel port or other digital lines to interface an i2c device but cannot seem to find the driver. Can anybody lend a hand? I know there are hardware interfaces available but I don't believe these are required in all cases. I am looking for a code solution.

Hello,

I cannot be of any help, unfortunately. National Instruments does not support the I2C bus directly on the parallel port and hence does not publish any software to do it. Perhaps others who post here can assist you.

Perhaps this is a reason why there has not been too much work done on this
area. Watch those patents....
