icon editor does not work in 2011

My icon editor doesn't work in LV 2011. Does anyone else has this problem? When I create an application (.exe), under Icon tab, clicking the Icon editor doesn't open the editor. I have tried creating a .ico file in paint and selecting that file in the project, but still, that doesn't work.

Please help!

Hello ipc,

I might have misunderstood a part of your question.

Are you trying to edit your icon from inside your executable?

Hi ipc,

- create an .ico file

- include that file in the project (!)

- when creating the exe: open icon property tab, select the ico-file you previously included to the project

- finished

Best regards,

I have tried this before. It doesn't work. I don't see any icon in the preview window. It seems like the icon editor is corrupted, because it works on another computer. I will reload the software.

Thank you all for the help!

Hi ipc:

I've been looking into this issue; please let me know if reloading the software allows you to access the icon.

Thanks!
