Hello,
When the 5690 is in the PXI 1033 chassis, is it seen in the Windows Device Manager and just not in the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)? Please confirm that the 5690 is not in Windows Device Manager and not in MAX. If the device does not appear in the Device Manager, right click on Data Acquisition Device and Scan of Hardware Changes. If in the Windows Device Manager, right click on the device and select Update Driver. Proceed to leave the default (Recommended) option in the Found New Hardware Wizard.
If none of the above helps, I am curious to know what version of the NI-RFSA and NI-5690 driver you have installed. The drivers should be installed and computer rebooted prior to inserting the RF hardware. The driver versions are available in MAX under the Software expandable. Please click on the driver to show the version number in the main panel.
Please also try some troubleshooting. Does the 5690 only have this problem when in slot 5? Lets try it in another slot that the 5600 or another device has previously worked in. I am also curious if the 5690 is seen if it is the only device in the chassis. Please also check for bent pins in the slot 5 of the chassis. Let me know what does and does not help or if you have any questions.

Thanx Samantha for the reply...
These all are I tried...but still its not working.. ie not detected in the windows device manager .Also I tried to put 5600 and 5610 in the same chassis, then also not detected...ie the chassis works only when it takes only one module..when 5690 alone is inserted in any of the empty slots,it gets detected(RFSA 2.0.5 & NI-5690 instrument driver versio1.0.6)...
Looking forward for an immediate reply....
Thanks
