installer - licence agreement

Hi all

Included with my installer are the NI licence agreements (Word docs) which my customers often confuse as my own licence agreement (i.e. the agreement between myself and them).

Is there a way of hiding the NI licence docs from the user when you build an installer?

Thanks,

Battler.

I dont know the answer for this question but if you delete the contents (not the files) files in the "license" folder then you wont get any of these info apart from a blank window.

However how does these info harm your end users?

Thanks Muks, that may work.

I recall after building I tried to manually remove (delete) the Word files from the folders.  Consequently there non-inclusion caused the installer not to work.

I don't know how the installer references these docs (knows whether they are there) and if removing a line in the setup.ini will work.  I've had mixed results from these sorts of instructions.

I guess I should go ahead and try it shouldn't I.

BTW: it has become a problem for me because my customers read the NI licence agreement which states that they can install "the program" on up to 3 computers; not my policy 😉

This is perhaps somewhat dirty, but locate the files on your harddisk. Then modify as needed 😉

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

And modifying it like "install "the program" on up to 3 computers costing $$$$$$ for each":smileyvery-happy:
