Did you mean:

is it possible to remote control an executable VI

Hi to all,

i am currently using LV 8.5.1 to monitor some devices. i can control this VI from remote location thru web publishing tool or thru remote panel connection manager.

my question is: if i build an executable VI, can i still remote control it?

any comments are well appreciated...

Follow-up,

according to what i know and i already tested awhile ago, the VI that was built executable cannot be able to remote control.

but if im wrong, please teach me what to do.

I attached some pictures of proofs:

1. 1st picture tells that using remote panel, we need the VI name. since the executable vi will turn to application (and not a VI type) after installation to non-LabVIEW computers, then its no way we can use this remote panel manager.

2. 2nd picture was the built application of VI. normally, we set the web publishing tool in the tools>>web publishing tool. but in this executable VI, there is no option like this. i also include the type of file (application file).

3. 3rd picture is the VI under the development environment. It shows the web publishing tool option. i also include the type of file (vi file).
