The one thing that pops out is the stop button inside the case statement. Place it outside so you don't have to wait five minutes for the program to stop.

Your question about a vga adapter makes no sense. You must have a serial port. USB converters are cheap.

Imagine, you connect your wash machine to the gas pipe instead of the water pipe. Would it work? It may even blow up...

hello Dennis,

So I got the serial to USB adapter and the program runs until I get to the configure measurement, I attached screen shots. The configure measurement vi error says that the hardware is missing.

Is the channel list valid? That's an error reported by the instrument.

Yea I got in contact with them, I didnt realize that you needed a seperate multiplexer card added to one of the slots of the unit I thought you were able to pull data just using the rs232 on the back of the unit. It reports missing hardware because you need a seperate multiplexer card added.
