I would like to buy a book on labview, but I'm hesitating between LabVIEW for Everyone by Jeffrey Travis and LabVIEW Graphical Programming by Gary W. Johnson. Could anyone of you guys help me out? I need labview for communicating with a DAQ-board, a framegrabber and GPIB
Hi Ruud, I am not sure that I can give you a fair detailed description for both, but 2 suggestions: - check amazon.com or something similar to access some well done reviews and SAMPLE PAGES [http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/007032915X/103-7421168-5247813]. Having more than 1 review it's easier to choose. - regarding DAQ and GPIB, Labview related manuals from NI are a good start (IMHO) - check your Labview CD or online because some are not available on paper.
Hope this helps p.s.: if you accept a choice without explanation, Labview Graphical Programming is the one
I recommend: LabView Advanced Programming Techniques Bitter et al 0-8493-2049-6 It covers general techniques for writing *good* code, has plenty of examples, and covers advanced topics like GPIB, VISA, hooking into .dll's, etc.
