So for Physics we're supposed to do a project with labview and so my group and I chose to do a simple project using this light sensor.

Our project is so that when the value obtained from the sensor in real time is less than a certain value, labview will automatically turn on a relay (electromagnetic switch) which will then turn on or off a lightbulb/lamp. Right now i'm stuck on how to set up the vi for labquest as everytime we plug in labquest and the sensor, the labquest setup vi says that there are no devices connected. Any help would be gladly appreciated as we have just started labview this past week but our teacher has not taught us anything.

I don't know how much help you would be able to get from the forums.  It is very likely that no one on here would have ever used this device.

From your description, it sounds like whatever drivers that come with this device might not be installed properly.

I think you'll need to talk to your teacher.
