Attached is your jpg with a few annotations. Yes, the Index Array functions were/are the same.
For 2D arrays in LV2.2, the upper index was for Row and the lower index for Column. An open box index indicated that it was disabled. So the Index Array functions on the left of your diagram are extracting rows.
And the Replace Element was/is the same as Replace Array Subset except that the terminal for the new element is now at the bottom.***
The fact that the "Array Length" control is on the right side of the block diagram shows that breaking the left>right dataflow wiring practice/convention was just as easy to do in the early '90s.
*** And the reason for the shift was to allow making it (along with a lot of the other array functions) expandable by pulling down. My addon at the bottom of the jpg shows an example of how things had to be done in LV2.2 and how things can be done now.
