Hi Guys,
Before someone else does the same mistake as I did, Labview Application Builder does not work anymore if you upgrade your mac to osx 10.11 el capitan. I had to roll back the entire image of my mac to osx 10.10 in order to use this functionallity again.
Happy monday morning 😉

We have an issue that arose when we upgraded to El Capitan having to do with Open File dialog boxes. We're writing files to an iCloud drive from an iPhone and want to open them directly from the LabVIEW VI without first moving them anywhere. These files go to an invisible folder undeer iCloud, but it's still possible to navigate there various ways, most easily via a folder alias in the sidebar. Since installing El Capitan the dialog box does not recognize the alias linked to the folder where the data resides, instead it keeps jumping to iCloud's top level, where all we see are the folders for Apple apps and "Other". If I hard-wire the directory instead of using a file dialog box within the VI diagram it still works, but that's not satisfactory for our application. The alias still works fine in Finder.

It sounds like you both had it installed before the upgrade.
Yosemite wasn't supported until 2014 SP1. I noticed this trying to install 2014 and getting the standard "This OS isn't supported. Do you want to continue installing?" prompt. Capitan isn't supported anywhere as of yet. You'll want to be careful with it. The same is true for Windows 10.

When can we expect to get support for el capitan? I'm having all sorts of issues with VISA ever since upgrading.

The OSes supported by different versions of LabVIEW are reported here: http://www.ni.com/labview/os-support/
NI usually release major updates in August (yearly LabVIEW release) and February (Service Packs) - so it is possible that it will be supported in the next couple of months when SP1 rolls around.
