labview 3.1 and y2k

Does anyone know why labview 3.1 is not compliant? I have looked at the NI
website and it says that 3.1 will not be tested. Are there any serious issues
relating to 3.1? If one was to upgrade the operating system to windows NT
or
95/98, can you continue to use labview 3.1 or are there compatibility
problems? How about hardware issues? Do you need new DAQ cards? Any info
would be appreciated. Thanks

If I remember correctly NI decided not to test LV3.1 simply
due to it's age. There are not any serious issues involved.
NI has posted the test they ran so you can run them yourself
if you have doubts. If you are running windows 3.x then that is
most likely going to be the trouble spot.

I believe that LV 3.1 will run under 95/98/NT. If I we
re upgrading the
OS I would probably also upgrade Labview simply to get the better
functionality of the later versions.

Hope this is useful.
