labview 8 and dell d610

Hi,

is it a good idea to use labview 8 or higher on a Dell D610 laptop?

My sw crashes many times....

I have an over 3 year old D830 with 2GB memory and run all versions of LabVIEW since 7.1 regularly on it, and have little trouble except that I can't startup 2009 since a few days anymore. But I guess some driver installation after installing 2010SP1 has messed up something.
