Hello, I'm currently working with Jorge and here is the status of the RT testing after receiving the new material:
Desktop PC Utility USB Drive:
We contacted the manufactor of the NuPRO 851 and they sent us an application that creates bootable (DOS) USB drive. The motherboard recognizes it and is able to boot through the USB drive. We completely cleared the drive including the masterboot record (don't know if USB drives have one but did an fdisk /mbr just in case). After the drive was empty we created a Desktop PC Utility USB Drive version 8.5.1.
We inserted it in the computer and started it up. We always get the same error:
FDD
PHARBOOT.SYS Error
And this is as far as we can get through USB. I believe for some reason the "booting up" system Labview RT creates is somehow uncompatible with this Single Board.
Now using Floppy disks:
Same configuration as before and a few hard disks to try (arround 5 or 6).
We used fdisk too clear the partitions and the master boot record as before. We format the disk for FAT32 and tried with different sizes. After that we insert the Pc Desktop Format Hard Drive disk (version 8.5.1) and it ran as usual in safe mode installing the RT OS. After that process is complete it tells us to remove the disk and reboot. And so we did. It boots up starts Labview Reat Time and after that we get the message:
Transfering control to user program.
After that message it restarts.
And that's where we stand regarding formating a RT desktop using floppy disks.
Any sugestions are welcome, but we tried these procedures with different disks, using RT 8.5.1 and considering all the specifications given so far.
Cheers

A new aproach... a new problem...
So, completely desperate we decided to switch the singleboard. We removed the Nupro 851 and inserted a Nupro 852. This new board does not support floppy drives but the bootable USB flash drive worked!
It booted through the USB drive, the menu appeared and the problem now is this: trying to format the disk won't work, it simply blinks and doesn't do anything. So i chose the evaluation option. Everything is ok except the disk... It tells us it has to be an IDE formated in FAT32 etc etc... The usual requirements for the disk and that are correctly set up for the disk. So just for the sake of testing I inerted a normal DOS bottable USB drive too see what happens when this singleboard boots through and USB flash drive. For some reason if you make it boot through an USB drive it assumes the drive is the "main" disk c:. If you use a USB floppy disk drive it sets up the floppy as a: leaving the hard drive as c:. What I think? The USB desktop utility USB drive boots up and tries to install RT OS on itself... And when it runs the evaluate utility it evaluates the USB drive instead of the hard disk...
What can I say it won't work no matter what we do....
HELP!
