labview and thermo scientific instrument

Hi, we have thermo scientific mass spec (prima db) i want to communicate to it through its opc server. Currently it will not install the software correctly, anyone come across this??

Hi Stu,

I've got a few questions about this problem. Is the OPC server from National Instruments? What is the problem with installing the software? (error codes etc)

Hi, no its the thermo scientific own opc server and you have manually configure the dcom settings. The problem i have when install the opc server software, it does not add the the server to the dcom folder within the components directory. any other software like fieldpoint or eurotherm does this automatically. And then you can view the entry within this dcom folder.

I'm sorry but we cannot support software that isn't our own. You will have to contact the manufacturer and ask them, or hope someone see's this post and knows something about your problem.
