I am new to Labview. I am using VI written using Labview 2017, myRIO 2017, Realtime, Matscript module to run an instrument connected using USB.
I started with downloading Labview. I tried several options installing Labview versions but myrio issue persists.
I started with Labview 2019 64 bit and myrio 2017 and myrio 2019- the error it showed was that it was looking for myRIO files, which was already installed
With Labview 2019 and Myrio, these are errors I get
When I click close
It appears its looking for myRIO file in vi.lib folder which doesn’t exist, I guess.
Although both myrio 2019 and 2017 are installed.
While installing myrio 2017, I did notice that it is installing under National instruments/shared and does not allow me to choose where the files should get installed.
Next step I installed Labview 2017 32 bit
When we open the vi file using 2017 version,
It gives following error
We also tried connecting the instrument and turning on RIO device set up. It did recognize the instrument and gave an option to launch using Labview 2017SP1, When we click on that, it gives same error as above.
Lastly we tried saving the file as prior version.
We used our Labview 2019 and opened the file and saved it as 2017 version
Now I used the 2017 version file and opened using labview 2017 again
Any help from NI community will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

When you work with LabVIEW Real-Time (required for myRIO), the already-challenging task of installing a consistent and appropriate version of LabVIEW, required Toolkits and Modules, and Drivers becomes even more complicated.
The optimal situation would be to work with a PC with a single version of LabVIEW, 32-bit (important!) running on Windows 10, 64-bit (required!). You can install either LabVIEW 2017 or LabVIEW 2019, but must not install LabVIEW 2020 or 2021 (as there is no myRIO Software Toolkit for these versions).
I (and others) have posted on the Forums (and you can probably also find a Knowledge Base article from NI) on the (only) safe method to remove National Instruments Software from a Windows PC. Once all of the NI Software is off the PC, you can start patiently (and slowly) installing LabVIEW and the proper modules and drivers that you'll need (and, of course, the appropriate myRIO Software Toolkit). [Be sure you have the appropriate Licenses available].
But wait -- there's more! Now that you have LabVIEW, LabVIEW Real-Time Module, the appropriate Drivers, and the myRIO Software Toolkit installed, you now need to use these tools to install the proper OS and Modules on the myRIO (you use MAX for this).
Are you at a University? Do they have Instructors who are familiar with LabVIEW, LabVIEW Real-Time, and the myRIO who can do the Uninstall/Reinstall tasks for you? [It is usually a good idea to have an experienced LabVIEW guru handle LabVIEW installations -- expect the process to take perhaps an hour or more.]
