labview player for linux?

I have a Labview VI running on my Windows platform. I developed it using the Windows version of Labview 7.1. I used the Web Publishing tool to make the display available online. I have verified that I can see the display running in real time using IE on a Windows machine.

Other machines in our LAN are running Linux, and cannot view the site in real time. For example, Mozilla asks for a plugin, but I can not find Labview Player for Linux anywhere. Can anyone help me get the Linux machines to see the real time site that is being hosted from a Windows machine?

Thanks

If you are using the remote front panel capability then what you need to do is install the LabVIEW run-time engine on the machines you want to view with. The run-time engine installs the plug-in. The LabVIEW Player capability is something entirely different.

I don't think that there is a plug-in for a linux system to be able to view the published LabVIEW front panel.

Wait! Try looking at this link:

Yes there is a plug-in for the Linux OS. Discussion of its installation can be found in the LabVIEW Release Notes.

Labview Release Notes for the Linux version (that I don't have)? Or can I find this information in the release notes for the Windows version (which I have)?

Thanks for the help guys! I'm trying to get the Linux Run-Time Engine to work right now.

The release notes for all the OSes are combined into a single version. Pages 7&8 discusse the browser plug-in installation.
