limitation of datafinder toolkit?

Hi, I am intending to use Datafinder toolkit with Labview 2009 for stand-alone builder program in searching TDMS data in a folder and its subfolders. Originally, I wanted to use Data Connectivity toolkit as a kind of database concept, but someone recommend me the Datafinder toolkit Most users have used DIAdem with Datafinder. 1. Is it a right approach to use between Labview and Datafinder, not DIAdem? 2. Does anyone know some limitations of Datafinder toolkit on my purpose? Only what I know in the toolkit in max results count is limited to 16,384 in "Execute Query VI". labmaster.

Hi labmaster

to answer your questions
1) Most users using DataFinder in conjunction with DIAdem because DataFinder is integrated into DIAdem and by this available for every DIAdem user. With LabVIEW DataFinder Toolkit the same functionality is available for LabVIEW users.
The difference between those two is that with LabVIEW you can build stand alone programs whereas in DIAdem you can use DataFinder off the shelf. Please keep in mind DIAdem can also be customized to your specific need. Please note distributing LabVIEW DataFinder Toolkit requires a run-time license.
2) There is only one limitation between LabVIEW DataFinder Toolkit 2010 and DIAdem 2010. The Toolkit does not allow you to list all available property values (qualified by additional search conditions) as e.g. provided by DIAdem's QueryForm ellipsis [...] - button. All other functionality of DataFinder can be used with the LabVIEW DataFinder Toolkit as well as with DIAdem.
