load text ring

ok i'm slightly lost .

I need to take a tab delimited file in the format

selection name,hex string

the first item should be in a ring control and provide me the hex string as the result.

i know this should be simple but i'm missing something.

any help in the right direction would be appriciated

Download from my website the VI "Read Strings from Spreadsheet File.vi":

Then check the attached example. The .zip file also includes a sample text file. This should give you a start.
