When I building a installer I get this message "Locate the "NI LabVIEW 8.5.1" distribution. LabVIEW needs to copy a component installed or updated by the distribution to continue building the installer."
I know the program is asking the original CD of LabVIEW but I don't have it since I installed LabVIEW from the Web using this computer of my laboratory at UT-Austin Campus. Is there any easy way to fix this without having to download the LabVIEW 2009 core disks and install them?

You can reinstall the component that is pointing to that distribution (e.g. DAQmx drivers or something else) if it's a driver that you're including in your installer. If it's a LabVIEW component (like the Variable Engine) you'll have to find the distribution or install from a new one.
If you know you'll be building installers, I recommend taking a hard drive hit and storing a copy of all my installation disks on the machine and installing from them. This costs space but eliminates the DVD goose chase. I keep mine on a second HD.
