logging external data using datalogger.vi

Hello everyone, 

I was trying out the data logging vi with labview 2010 and i had some issues with it. The vi seems to be able to perform data logging from signal generators only. I would like to ask if there is any possibility of logging external data (eg, blood pressure measured with a blood pressure set) with this VI.

Where exactly is this 'datalogger.vi'?

You have all of the functions on the File I/O palette that allow you to write any type of data that you want.
