Hi, iddc,

Are you using the Simulation Module in LabVIEW 7.1? If so, you can only use the Lookup Table VIs (Lookup Table 1D, Lookup Table 2D, and Lookup Table 3D) inside the Simulation Loop. If you try to place them in the regular block diagram, you will get a NO sign.

Hi GValdes,

Are there 2D and 3D lookup table blocks availabe for the regular LabVIEW 7.1 or 8.0? I am going to design engine air-fuel ratio controls using LabVIEW and the 2D and 3D lookup tables are badly needed for the application. I am a new LabVIEW learner  and look forward to your suggestions.

Thanks,
dalong

Hello Dalong,

Kindly refer to chapter 10 about grouping data using strings, arrays and clusters of the Labview User Manual for designing lookup tables.

Hi iddc,

Do you happen to know whether there is a ramp rate block available in the LabVIEW? The block can be used to adjust the rising/falling rate of a step change.

Thanks,

dalong

hi dalong,

you can choose some mathematical function vi's for ramp rate.

Have you looked at the function called Ramp Pattern? It's on the Analyze>Signal Processing>Signal Generation palette if you have at the least the full version of LabVIEW.

Which mathematical block would you please recommend? Thank you.
