i tried to open your code in lab view 8.0 , (i couldnt get to 8.2. so i rewrite the code for labview 8.0) its seems to display image but didnt get to save the folder of files
if you can please have a look and let me know what could be the problem?

Dear Reut,

I've attached the code again saved in LabVIEW 8.0. This file save method worked for me, but I tested it with the IMAQdx driver VIs and a FireWire camera, as that is what I had hooked up to my computer at the time. If the attached code does not work, could you let me know what errors you are getting?

the code worked, but its save one pic each time, is it suppose to save the all serial of pics?
should i save it diffrently in the images folder?

Dear Reut,

I've modified the code slightly, I want you to try it now with the default values that I've saved for the 'Images Folder' and the 'Run Information' controls.

The Images Folder control should read C:\Documents and Settings\reut\Desktop\trial

The Run Information control should read testpicmay

After you run and stop the VI, you should have the same number of saved image files in the trial folder as the # Frames indicator. Please let me know if this is not the case.

sorry for driving you crazy, but the last code is not LV 8.0 (its 8.5, please if you can to switch it for LV 8.0, thanks)
anyway, i wrote the phat of the images folder manualy, and the run information, but as soon as i connected the external trigger, the code run but doesnt react, and no image saved
so i am still in the same situation....(i am adding here the prt scr of running one of the build in example with the external trigger that used to work, but now i am getting error window, ...)
if you have any ideas what can i do, ...

Dear Reut,

Sorry about the attachment; it should be saved for LabVIEW 8.0 now.

Please try this example out, as well as try a snap and a grab in MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer). Do you get the same errors in MAX as you do in LabVIEW?

If so there are a couple of things I want you to check:

1) In MAX, make sure that you are using the correct camera file. Do this by navigating to Devices and Interfaces»NI-IMAQ Devices»InterfaceType: 1424, and make sure that you have the correct camera listed here. If not, right click on the camera listed and navigate through the Camera menu to your specific camera.

2) try disabling serial commands by unchecking the "Enable Serial Commands" box in MAX under the Camera Attributes tab.

Do you still see the error after doing both of these things?
