lvdaq.dll Error

When I click on a vi I created in the library section of the tools pallet I get "Dynamic Link Library Initilization routine failed".

Hello Clint,

You said that you are getting an error regarding the use of lvdaq.dll.  I was wondering if you could give me a bit more information as to what you are doing?

Are you trying to call the lvdaq.dll in LabVIEW?  If so, then why are you calling the dll directly instead of using the standard DAQ routines.

Or are you trying to build your VI into an executable?  Perhaps you are trying to run a DAQ example without having the drivers properly installed?

Unfortunately from the information that you gave me I cannot figure out what happened to give you that error.

There is a chance that just by searching the forums and ni.com that you can find the answer, but you've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya?

Regards,

Otis,

I'm getting this 3rd hand so bear with me.  I think the user is calling a vi ( NI) created to talk to a daq card used by a third party vendor.  Right now we are reloading the drivers.  The user tells me they up graded from Win 98 to XP.  The older version 3rd party vendor drivers could be the problem.  Don't know if it was only 5 or 6 but I felt lucky !
