measure frequency of a digital pulse without a counter

I am using the National Instruments DAQCard-AO-2DC, which does not have a counter. I will be reading a series of digital pulses, and I need to be able to determine their frequency. Is this possible?

It depends on how fast the pulse train is, and how accurate the measurement needs to be. If it's toggling at a 1Hz rate and you only have to know plus or minus 100 msec, no sweat. If it's a 200kHz clock and you have to be accurate to within a couple microseconds--you got problems. More info please?
