Hello,
I'm trying to obtain some information about the vertical VHDCI 68 pin receptacle sold by NI.
I'm looking for
1. Mechanical drawing.
2. Clarification whether this is through hole or surface mount - I need through hole mounting for all the 68 pins. Not just the mounts.
Please advise.
Thanks.

Hello Shrek,
Thanks. I still need however, the mechanical drawing of the part so that we may be able to adopt the appropriate footprint on our PCB.
I am familiar with the link you pointed me to. However, it does not have sufficient information for someone wanting to incorporate this product.
If there is an equivalent part please point me to it. I have included an example drawing of a similar but inapplicable component.
Please advise.

Anand,
See the pdf below for the dimensional drawing. Can you clarify "I need through hole mounting for all the 68 pins. Not just the mounts."?

Hello H_Baker,
Some vertical VHDCI connectors have through hole mounts for the connector to the PCB, but the pins (all 68 of them) are meant for SMT assembly.
I need something where all the 68 pins are configured for through hole assembly.
Thanks

All of the Dimensional Drawings for HSDIO Connectors that NI sells are now online. Check out the following Knowledgebase document called Where Can I Find the Dimensional Drawings of HSDIO Connectors? to find information about these connectors and the links to their drawings.
Thanks,
DJ L.

Thanks!
We purchased 10 of the vertical mounting type from NI and they've arrived safe and hopefully sound.
