memory usage for single precision data

I am trying figure out how much memory it would require for me to store about 500,000 elements in a 2-D array of single precision.  Each element will be a number in the format of xxx.xx.

Single precision would be 4 bytes per element.  There would be a minimal amount of overhead for defining the size and bounds of the array.
