micro robot path planning using NI Vision

Hello

I need a support to start a project on moving MicroRobot Position detection, tracking and may be path planning in later stage. I have gone through VIs available in Vision toolkit, example finder and also few tutorials online.

Could't find how to acquire real time Video stream in Vision, also when I tried for simple png file it gives me error that " file has to be 8 bit monochrome and mice is 32" How do I convert this....Honestly newbie ...need some hlep guys

Hi vitualworld,

What vision softwware are you considering?  There are several options, but it sounds like the Vision Development Module is what you will want if you are doing some image acquisition and processing.

When you say video stream do you mean grabbing images from a camera?

As for converting your image, the IMAQ Cast VI should do the trick.
