missing daq acquisition vi in LV7 with nidaq 6.9.3

Hi

after having installed LV7 without any DAQ-driver I installed NIDAQ 6.9.3.
I need this version because my hardware ain't supported anymore with NIDAQ 7!
The installation of NIDAQ 6.9.3 worked fine and my hardware ist recognised.
But in LVthe data acqusition vi are missing (AI input, output, digital,...)
What can I do to make them reappearing in the functions palette?

thanks for the help.

Hi Yves

I asume that the daq libraries are installed in the wrong place (LabVIEW 6.1 directory). When you run the NI-DAQ 6.9.3 installer, then you see once a feature tree with the support of the different LV versions. Be sure that LV 6.1 is select and then change the target directory on the bottom to ...\LabVIEW 7.0 instead of the automatically selected ...\LabVIEW 6.1 directory.

Do I have to reinstall it?
And what are the settings to have it installed for LV6.1 AND LV7?

There is the option to copy/paste the libraries but I recommend you to uninstall and reinstall NI-DAQ. That's more secure. I don't remember exactly, but I think that you cannot select LV 7 on the feature tree, because LV 7 was not there when NI-DAQ 6.9.3 was released! So select the LV 6.1 support and change the target directory.

Steps:
1. Remove your board.
2. Uninstall NI-DAQ 6.9.3
3. Run NI-DAQ setup
4. Select the support files for LV 6.1
5. When you've selected LV 6.1 check on the bottom that the target directory is changed from ...\LabVIEW 6.1 to ...\LabVIEW 7.
6. Finish the setup.
7. Reinsert the board.

I'm sorry Yves. I didn't see in your post, that you're using LV 6.1 AND LV 7. The steps I described before are usend when you don't have LV 6.1. In your case review the KB linked below:
