Hi All,
I am attempting to communicate with an omega temperature controller over a serial connection (the serial is actually converted to USB but shows up as an active COM3 port). Omega provides modbus commands for the unit (http://www.omega.com/manuals/manualpdf/M3758.pdf), but I am having trouble even starting with this. For instance the white paper for NI modbus communications (https://www.ni.com/en/shop/labview/introduction-to-modbus-using-labview.html) indicates that there is a LabVIEW Modbus API, with multiple VIs and even an example (Modbus Library.lvproj), but I cant find any of these VIs in my labview 2014 install. Is the LabVIEW Modbus API something that is default or do I have to install this separately? Im pretty lost, any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the poor description, as well.
